Each spring, the Wine Country Chapter raises money to award scholarships
to women in Sonoma County. Our scholarship fund benefits women in studies at Sonoma State
University and Santa Rosa Junior College. Providing opportunities for women to help
themselves and others through leadership, education, and networking support is our
mission.
Since 2003, our local chapter has awarded 39 scholarships totaling $53,900 to
women attending Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College. In 2007 alone, our chapter
awarded $18,000 in scholarships, including the first Heidi Madelaine Ainsworth Memorial
Scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in SRJC’s culinary and viticultural arts
program.
